Second business opportunity program - Vouzounerakis

This action of O.A.E.D. aims to reintegrate into the labor market 5,000 unemployed former self-employed, who have ceased their business and are given a second chance to start a business. At least 40% of the positions will be filled by unemployed women and digital economy companies will receive an additional 40% points when evaluating business plans.


Beneficiaries are unemployed registered in the registers of the Organization, which cumulatively meet the following conditions:

have ceased their business activity from 1/1/2012 until 31/12/2021
have not transferred their business or share to a company owned by spouses or persons of first or second degree kinship,
have not exercised any professional / business activity from 01/01/2022 until the publication of the Ministerial Decision,
Unemployed people who have not started their activity can also apply for the program, provided that after the notification of the positive evaluation (pre-approval) of their business plan by the Three-Member Evaluation Committee, they will start their activity at the Tax Office within two months.
Beneficiaries must have paid or settled any due insurance contributions or any debts for any reason to the Unified Social Security Institution (EFKA) and have paid to the Special Unemployment Account the monthly contribution of € 10 for at least 1 year or have adjusted it.

The duration of the grant is set at 12 months, with a three-month commitment and with the possibility of extension for an additional 12 months.
The grant amount is from 12,000 to 36,000 euros depending on partners and program duration.
