According to ministerial decision 3763/111/15, for vehicles licensed for the first time, used vehicles, vehicles transferred to another individual and vehicles converted to special use vehicles, such as:

• concrete mixer
• concrete pumps
• full size semi-trailers
• garbage truck etc.

is required a type-approval.

For the Type approval of a Special Use vehicle, are required:

• photo of the vehicle with the required equipment
• vehicle plan
• technical statement and report
• monitoring the application to the Vehicle Technology Directorate of the Ministry of Transport.

After deposit of documentation to the Ministry and before the type-approval, an inspection takes place; an engineer is present at the inspection and all along the classification process.
