Transportation Safety Consultant (Dangerous Goods according to ADR)

Based on your business activities a consultant will:

  • Make sure that the Regulations concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods are respected (hazardous substance safety signs, danger stickers, vehicle signage);
  • Evaluate what you need for the carriage of hazardous goods (road vehicle types, loading surface, separation of dangerous gods);
  • Check the equipment used for the transport of dangerous goods or the packaging;
  • Train the employees of the business (e.g. how to provide the supporting documents, which hazardous goods are transferred and what the dangers are); Note: The above training does not substitute for the training every driver should have for the ADR driving license).
  • Apply accident-emergency procedures to assure safety when loading or transferring dangerous goods;
  • Analyse and, if necessary, write a report about the accidents or violations of traffic code when loading or transferring dangerous goods;
  • Write an annual report to the company;
  • Keep a record of vehicles and drivers;
  • Suggest measures to avoid accidents or serious violations of law;
  • Bear in mind the legal requirements and the special conditions regarding the transport of dangerous goods before hiring a subcontractor or other parts;
  • Make sure the staff responsible for the loading or transportation of dangerous goods follows detailed orders;
  • Inform about the dangers involved in the loading or transportation of dangerous goods;
  • Conduct compliance audits for documentation and safety equipment;
  • Conduct audits in order to ensure safety rules are applied during loading and unloading operations.
