According to European directives that have been harmonized with Greek Law the products which are required to bear CE marking before being placed on the market of EU countries are:

- Declaration of conformity
- Technical file
- Factory production control audits carried out by a third party
- Instructions
The manufacturer must keep documentation for CE marking in the form of a technical file which can be supplied if requested.
